About Me

Hi there! I’m Keane Sammon, a lifelong birder with a deep love for travel and discovery. Growing up in Texas, I would spent hours on the porch of my grandparent’s house in the country, watching the birds in the trees and at the feeders. Birding only remained an interest for me until college, where everything changed: my first solo trip to South Africa. 

Since that trip, I’ve birded in 12 different countries. From my home in the USA to Central America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, I’ve been to many places in the world seeking new adventures.

I created Borderless Birding to share what I’ve learned and help others plan meaningful bird-focused travel. Whether you’re chasing lifers or just want to know what birds to expect on your next trip, I’m here to help.
